Flavio Maluf’s perception of tax incentives
Recently, the Eucatex president highlighted the significant role of Fiscal Incentive Laws for both small and big businesses. According to him, these laws would provide companies with the opportunity to be directly involved in the valuation of tax in significant projects including sporting, cultural, and social, health, and scientific research infrastructure. Rather than sending tax collected to the government to be later disbursed for different projects, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to be part of the social and economic developments. In his comment, Flavio Maluf further elaborated that some tax incentives should be granted to certain companies depending on the area of operation. This would stimulate the growth of some industries or specific economic activities. The incentives can be in different forms including exemption, tax reductions, and compensations.
