Chelsea's rising star Cole Palmer has revealed his picks for the most skillful players in the Premier League during a recent interview with Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old, who has emerged as a key figure for both club and country, shared his thoughts on three standout talents he's encountered throughout his career so far.

He named Manchester City's Phil Foden, Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and West Ham's Mohammed Kudus as the three most skillful players he has faced.

When asked why he handed his former Manchester City team-mate Foden the top spot, Palmer said: 'Technically, he's a joke.'

Palmer went on to praise Eze, who he placed second. The Chelsea star said: 'He dribbles past people like they're not even there.'

When asked what made Kudus special, Palmer said: 'Everything. He's fast, strong, technically good. Yeah, I think he's a very, very, very good player.'

Palmer has also ranked the most skillful young talents. He named Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo, and RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons.

Palmer began by heaping praise on Yamal, the teenage sensation from Barcelona, ranking him as the top wonderkid.

The 17-year-old Spanish international dazzled during the 2024 European Championship, where he played a key role in Spain's victory over England in the final.

Despite Palmer scoring for the Three Lions in the 73rd minute, it was Yamal who stole the show in a 2-1 triumph for Spain.

Reflecting on the Euros final, Palmer said, 'When he played against us in the final, just to watch him… mad. He's so good.'

Next on Palmer's list was Mainoo, Manchester United's promising midfielder.

The 18-year-old impressed during the Euros as part of Gareth Southgate's England squad and stood out in training sessions.

Palmer, who trained alongside Mainoo, was quick to highlight his talent: 'He was one of the best players in training every day. He's very, very good.'

Finally, Palmer placed Xavi Simons in third.

The Dutch midfielder shone for the Netherlands during the tournament, delivering a memorable performance against England in the semi-finals with a stunning goal to open the scoring. On Simons, Palmer remarked, 'Really good player.'

Palmer has transitioned from a promising young talent to a key player at the senior level. Since his move from Manchester City to Chelsea, the playmaker has solidified his reputation as one of the most exciting English players in football.
