EVERY PLAYER IN OKC THUNDER HISTORY WHO HAS WORN NO. 27

It's summertime in the NBA, so the ample free time is a perfect opportunity to reflect and learn about the league's history. While the Oklahoma City Thunder are a relatively fresh franchise, they technically share history with the Seattle Supersonics.

The Sonics' first season dates back to 1967. The Thunder's first season was in 2008. This type of longevity has allowed several players to wear almost every jersey number available.

Amid boredom, Thunder Wire will look back at all 51 jersey numbers worn, spanning from 00 to 97. This exercise will include the Sonics' history. Let's look at the four players who donned the No. 27 jersey during their time with the franchise:

John Johnson, 1978-82

The two-time All-Star spent his final five seasons on the Sonics. He was part of the 1979 Sonics squad that won a championship. He was a productive starter during that title run in the playoffs. He averaged 10.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and four assists in 333 career games in Seattle.

Elmore Spencer, 1997

Spencer only appeared in one game for the Sonics. It was his final season in the NBA.

Johan Petro, 2006-09

Petro was with the franchise for most of his first four seasons. He has the unique distinction of being on the last Sonics squad and the first Thunder team amid the 2008 relocation. He averaged 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 243 career games with the franchise.

Vit Krejci, 2022

Krejci only lasted one season on the Thunder. He struggled to return from his torn ACL. He averaged 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 30 career games. He's carved out a decent role with the Hawks since his departure from OKC.
