LE'VEON BELL MOCKS FORMER HEAD COACH FOR APPEARING "ON DRUGS"

Le'Veon Bell's time with the New York Jets failed to result in anything significant, and the former running back appears to still have some hard feelings toward his old team.

Bell posted an image of his former head coach Adam Gase on Saturday, with the caption "tell me you on drugs without telling me you on drugs."

Bell signed a four-year deal with the Jets in 2019, one year after holding out from playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers applied the franchise tag to Bell in 2018, but he refused to sign and then refused to report.

After signing with the Jets, Bell would only be on the team for around a season and a half before he was released in mid-2020.

He signed short deals with the Chiefs, Ravens and Buccaneers in search of a Super Bowl ring, but none of those teams were able to win the championship with him on the roster.

Bell entered the NFL in 2013 with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who took him at No. 48 overall out of Michigan State.

In three of the five seasons he played for the Steelers, Bell rushed for over 1,000 yards.

Since leaving the team in 2019, he did not reach 800 or more rushing yards for the rest of his career.

These days, Bell is a professional boxer with a record of 2-1. He won his last two fights after beginning his professional career with a loss to former UFC fighter Uriah Hall.

The Jets fired Gase at the end of the 2020 season, only a few months after releasing Bell.

He ended his tenure in New York with a 9-23 record, paving the way for the Jets to hire current head coach Robert Saleh.

Gase remains out of the NFL since the Jets fired him, but the team has also failed to see sustained success after his departure.

The Jets still have the longest active playoff drought in major American sports, as they've now failed to make an appearance in the postseason for the last 13 years.

Bell and Gase both failed during their time in New York, and the team hasn't been able to find success since getting rid of them.

There won't be any reunions between them - especially after this post from the former running back - but it seems that the former running back and head coach were in a fitting environment.
