5 COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAMS CHANGED CONFERENCES ON MONDAY

Happy July 1.

The start of the seventh month of the year is a big one in the college football world, has five schools have officially changed conferences as we start the new academic year.

Two schools, of course, are the big ones, as Oklahoma and Texas are leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.

Oklahoma, Texas joining SEC

The Sooners and the Longhorns will begin their new lives in the SEC starting today.

Oklahoma and Texas will join an already loaded SEC, as the Sooners and Longhorns will look to contend for College Football Playoff spots in 2024.

SMU joins the ACC

SMU will be an ACC program moving forward - which is wild to think about - but it became official on Monday.

The ACC Network welcomed the school to the conference.

Army has joined the AAC

Both Army and Navy will be in the AAC in 2024, as the Black Knights have joined their longtime rival in the conference.

Kennesaw State has joined CUSA

While not the biggest move of the day, Kennesaw State has officially joined the conference, as it became official on July 1.
