HEISMAN WINNER MAKES MAJOR MOVE WITH TED CRUZ

It looks like former USC Trojans Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart spent the Fourth of July celebrating alongside Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

On Friday afternoon, Matt Leinart posted a photograph on social media showing him and Ted Cruz standing next to each other at what appeared to be a Fourth of July celebration.

“Happy 4th,” Leinart said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Leinart has been pretty open about his right-leaning political views, especially recently, so his warm relationship with the Republican senator isn’t necessarily all that shocking.

Last month, Leinart controversially re-shared a post from The Daily Mail which claimed that Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted that he “made up” some of the COVID-19 guidelines that were designed to stop the spread of the disease.

“REVEALED: Dr. Anthony Fauci confesses he ‘made up’ covid rules including 6 feet social distancing and masking kids,” the post said, which was shared by Leinart.

However, a community note indicated this was not actually true.

“This headline is misleading. Dr Fauci did not confess to ‘making up’ COVID rules. He stated that he could not recall the first mention of the ‘6ft rule’ but discussed the area of spray of a sneeze as a logical part of that discussion,” the community note said.

Regardless, it was an indication that Leinart leans right on the political spectrum.
