ANGELS ONCE MORE SET TO BE WITHOUT VETERAN INFIELDER FOR EXTENDED STRETCH

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon is once again set to miss significant time with his latest injury.

Rendon said Friday that he is dealing with a partially torn hamstring, which he suffered while running out a ground ball last Saturday. The veteran third baseman suggested the injury would require a longer-term recovery.

Rendon really has not been able to catch a break over the last four seasons. He has played just 167 games since the start of the 2021 season due to an array of injuries and it sounds like it will be weeks before he is able to play again in 2024.

Previously, Rendon has given off the impression that he does not care all that much about his career. Even so, he has not been able to hide his frustration with the latest injury.

Rendon had managed to lift his batting average up to .267 on the season before his injury despite a brutal start to the season.
