JOSH HART NOT HAPPY WITH 'IDIOTIC' UPROAR FROM PHILADELPHIA

The Villanova men's basketball program is well-represented on the New York Knicks' roster, which made for some awkward moments on social media this week.

The Knicks, led by former Wildcats Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo, are currently up 2-0 on the Philadelphia 76ers in their first round series.

Following New York's stunning 104-101 comeback win in Game 2 Monday night, the Villanova men's basketball X/Twitter account praised "our guys" Brunson and DiVincenzo for "two HUGE 3s to seal the Win."

It was a tweet that drew the ire of a lot of Philly fans and natives.

Hart was asked about the negative feedback this afternoon, and he made it clear he thinks the angry Philly fans are "idiotic."

“Why? That’s so stupid. Villanova’s in our blood, bro,” Hart said following practice Wednesday, via the New York Post. “That’s a bond that goes deeper than where you’re from or who you’re rooting for or whatever. Like, we have a bond there that goes beyond basketball, that goes beyond any of that stuff.

“So for Philly fans to be mad about that, I think that’s idiotic. That’s who we are. We’re a family. We played for the ones that come before us there, and that’s how it is there. So I don’t care about it. I think it’s idiotic that Philly fans are mad about it. Because whether they like it or not, Villanova’s in our blood.”

We're going to go out on a limb and say Hart and his teammates won't be welcomed with a lot of Brotherly Love when the series shifts to Philadelphia on Thursday.

Game 3 between the Sixers and Knicks will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday on TNT.
