Kyle Filipowski's older girlfriend turned fiancee made headlines during the 2024 NBA Draft.
The former Duke Blue Devils star slipped in the 2024 NBA Draft, going to the Utah Jazz in the second round. Some speculated that questions about his relationship were to blame.
"NBA teams are talking about the fact that they had question marks about his girlfriend being so much older than him, why was he estranged from his family because of this whole situation," ESPN's Jonathan Givony said on his podcast.
"He apparently doesn’t talk to his parents or his brother and It’s a very, very odd situation. I personally don’t understand why it would cause him to drop like this into the second round."
A man claiming to be Kyle's brother suggested that Caitlin, who is reportedly eight years older than the 20-year-old NBA Draft pick, "groomed" him.
"My brother is a victim and was unfortunately a 'perfect' pawn and target for this girl’s lifelong scheme based on his human characteristics and growing potential as a high-level prospect which started taking place in 2019, exactly at the time when she began her pursuit of him," the account read.
"Kyle…myself, your entire family and friends love you and are here for you!
"I have received so much outreach and support from families that have a child who has fallen victim to this same terrible and evil progression of psychological control and manipulation and my heart goes out to all the families out there who have suffered through this experience in the past or are currently going through this right now!

Caitlin has been trending on social media this week, with photos from her social media going viral.
Caitlin has since made her social media private, appearing to want to stay away from the drama.
