VIDEO: LEBRON, BRONNY JAMES HAVE FIRST INTERACTION AS TEAMMATES

After the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny James last week, the team has officially signed the newest rookie to an NBA contract.

Bronny is now officially a Laker, and he was welcomed at the team's facility by a very familiar face.

After Bronny had his introductory press conference on Tuesday, LeBron James stopped by to greet him.

The father and son were joined by their agent Rich Paul, as several journalists stopped to capture their conversation.

LeBron James is technically a free agent after opting out of his contract with the Lakers, but he's expected to re-sign with the team this summer.

James has even alluded to taking a pay cut in order to give the Lakers more flexibility on the open market.

Whatever figure James returns to the Lakers for will likely come up short of the value of playing at least one season with his son Bronny.

The two could become the first father-son duo to share the court in NBA history. The feat has been accomplished in Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League, but never before in the NBA.

It's a monumental accomplishment, and speaks to LeBron's longevity as a player.

His career is older than Bronny, as the second-round pick is only 19 years old while his father gets set to enter his 22nd season.

LeBron will become just the second player in NBA history to play 22 seasons, joining Vince Carter, who retired just a few years ago.

James is already the NBA's all-time leading scorer, and he is roughly a season and a half away from playing the most games in league history.

We'll see how LeBron and Bronny work together on the court this season, and we'll get our first look at the younger James when the NBA Summer League starts this month.
