RAMS GOT FLEECED IN DEAL WITH PANTHERS FOR BRADEN FISKE

The Rams traded up on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft from No. 52 to 39, giving up the 155th overall pick and a 2025 second-rounder to move up with the Carolina Panthers. The Rams used the 39th selection to take Braden Fiske out of Florida State, a player they obviously targeted and valued highly given how much they traded to get him.

Jason Fitzgerald of Over The Cap laid out the point value of the trade based on the value chart, and the Rams got fleeced by the Panthers. Their picks were worth 2,334 points, while the 39th pick was only worth 1,143 points.

Honestly? That doesn't even begin to describe how bad a trade it was across the board. The 2025 draft is infinitely more talented than the 2024 draft class, and the Rams gave up key capital for a player with significant scheme fit concerns and overlap with Kobie Turner.

If Fiske hits, sure, the trade will sting less. I'm sure they'll defend it by citing the run on defensive tackles to start the second round. This is bad process through and through by the Rams and Les Snead, regardless of the outcome.
