VIKINGS COULD CAPITALIZE ON FALLING NFL DRAFT QUARTERBACK

The quarterback position in the 2024 NFL Draft will be the highlight of the night on Thursday. Once the Chicago Bears select Caleb Williams, nobody knows who is going to go where.

One of the biggest wild cards is the Minnesota Vikings who have been rumored to trade up in the draft to get their quarterback. What happens if they don't have to trade up to get their guy? That could end up being the case.

The prevailing thought for months was that Williams, North Carolina's Drake Maye and LSU's Jayden Daniels would go one-two-three, but that could end up changing with Robert Kraft getting involved.

Now, this is an interesting element for the Vikings. They have been rumored to want Maye for weeks and this scenario would make it possible for him to fall. Is it a likely scenario? That's hard to say, but Justin Fields wasn't expected to fall out of the top five in 2021 and he made it to 11th overall. Will Levis was -600 to go fourth overall last year and he went at 33.

The Vikings could be able to pounce on arguably the best quarterback in the NFL Draft if this comes to fruition.
