ARIZONA STATE STAR QB JADEN RASHADA ANNOUNCES TRANSFER COMMITMENT

After spending his first seasons in college football with the Arizona State Sun Devils, former four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Today, he revealed his destination.

On Thursday, Rashada's agent, Henry Organ, confirmed that Rashada has committed to the University of Georgia. Per On3 Sports, Rashada will have four years of eligibility remaining.

It's an interesting choice as incumbent quarterback Carson Beck is fully entrenched in his role and seems unlikely to cede reps to his backups for anything other than spot duty or injuries.

Coming out of high school, 247Sports rated Rashada as the No. 81 overall prospect in the country. He was the No. 7 quarterback in the nation and the No. 6 player from the state of California.

In 2023 for the Sun Devils, Rashada threw for 407 yards and three touchdowns while completing 57-percent of his passes.

Rashada has only recently resumed training after missing most of spring while recovering from thumb surgery.

Fans on social media appear very mixed on whether this is a good move for him. Some believe it's the wrong spot while others are just happy to see him go somewhere better:

"Don’t they have 3 qbs already? He’ll be back in tha portal next year," one user wrote.

"Some school take kids because they don’t want the kid to go to another school and possibly to a rivals school I believe Georgia does it and Miami," another suggested.

"Georgia getting Rashada is a perfect fit Will absolutely compete for the starting job in 2025," wrote a third.

Did Rashada make a good pick?
