REPORT: COLORADO RUNNING BACK HAS DECIDED TO TRANSFER

Colorado has lost a running back to the transfer portal.

According to On3's Pete Nakos, running back Sy'Veon Wilkerson has entered the portal and is looking to play for a new program.

Wilkerson followed head coach Deion Sanders from Jackson State but wasn't used that much during the 2023 season. He finished with only 53 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns.

Before that, he was great at Jackson State during the 2022 season, finishing with 226 carries for 1,167 yards and 9 touchdowns. He's also spent two seasons at Delaware State.

His best season at Delaware State came in 2021 when he compiled 220 carries for 848 yards and eight touchdowns.

He was part of the 2020 recruiting class and was a three-star recruit, per 247Sports. He'll now have the ability to transfer anywhere he wants as he tries to get more playing time.

The spring transfer portal window started last Monday (Apr. 16) and goes through next Monday (Apr. 30). During those two weeks, players can enter the portal and pick their next school.

Colorado finished the 2023 season with a 4-8 record.
